Have the function timeConvert(num) take the num parameter being passed and return the number of hours and minutes the parameter converts to (ie. if num = 63 then the output should be 1:3). Separate the number of hours and minutes with a colon.
Enter an integer in the input field.
$(document).ready(function() {
function getNumber(input) {
var num = $(input).val();
if (num === '') return;
return Math.abs(num * 1);
}
function timeConvert(num) {
var h = 0,
m = 0,
time = '';
if (num < 60) {
time = '0:' + num;
} else {
m = num % 60;
h = parseInt(num / 60);
time = h + ':' + m;
}
return time;
}
$('.convert').click(function() {
var num = getNumber('.data input');
if (isNaN(num)) {
$('.result p').html('Please enter an integer in the field.');
} else {
$('.result p').html('Your time is: <span>' + timeConvert(num) + '</span>');
}
});
});
